About The Position

The position involves a variety of construction-related tasks that are essential for setting up and maintaining temporary structures on job sites. The primary responsibilities include setting up trailers and building decks, stairs, roofs, and other temporary structures that connect office units. This role also requires the installation of shelves, the setup of tool trailers and conex boxes, and the implementation of erosion control measures such as silt fences and straw bales, ensuring that the site is compliant with the erosion control plan. In addition to these setup tasks, the position requires hands-on work with concrete and rough carpentry. This includes hand-setting walls, footings, and gang wall forms, as well as constructing structural concrete decks. The role also encompasses drywall installation and finish carpentry, which involves working with doors, frames, hardware, millwork, and cabinetry. Collaboration is a key aspect of this position, as the individual will assist journeyman and foreman with the shooting of grades and elevations, ensuring that all work is completed to the required specifications. Building effective working relationships with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and organizational levels is also emphasized, as teamwork is crucial in achieving project goals. The role may also include other duties as assigned, reflecting the dynamic nature of construction work.
