About The Position

This position consists of operating a 1902 Carousel Ride, while providing safe and fun entertainment for our guest. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individual with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The noise level in the work environment is generally equivalent to a busy shopping mall. Occasionally the work environment is equivalent to a general office environment.

Requirements

High School or equivalent
Previous Customer Service and working with children experience is preferred.
This candidate must be a motivated, friendly, and enthusiastic team player
Possess a positive attitude
Has excellent communication skills
Is open to flexible hours, days, evenings and weekend.

Nice To Haves

Mechanical aptitude is a plus.

Responsibilities

Keep the Carousel Ride area clean and presentable.
Opens the Ride, turns on the lights and music.
Perform daily safety inspections.
Handle transactions through the Square POS system and prepare reports of daily usage.
Greet visitors with a friendly smile.
Actively promote the Destiny USA Fun Pass program to guests, sell Fun Pass booklets, and document/report sales as directed.
Communicate Carousel history and rules to all riders.
Opens the gate and collects tokens.
Ensure proper safety by walking around the Carousel to be sure that all are on animals, making sure that only one person is on each animal.
Closes out the Ride at the end of the day.
Assist Marketing Department with projects as needed.
