About The Position
As a Carhop at Sonic, you will play a crucial role in delivering quality food and ensuring a pleasant dining experience for our guests. Your primary responsibility will be to serve and deliver food in a clean, safe, and efficient manner. This position requires you to meet operational standards regarding the temperature, packaging, appearance, presentation, and service of all menu items. You will be expected to greet guests with a friendly smile and provide timely service to those parked in stalls and on the patio. Your ability to prioritize guests' needs and respond to their requests respectfully is essential to maintaining the high standards of service that Sonic is known for. In addition to serving food, you will be responsible for clearing trays and trash from guests' cars, the patio, and the Drive-Thru parking lot. You will also need to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, making change as needed. The role may require you to wear a uniform and personal protective equipment as outlined in the Sonic Drive-In operations manual. You will also be expected to perform other job-related duties as assigned, which may include preparing drinks, ice cream items, or taking orders when necessary.
