Cargo Warehouse Supervisor: Responsible for overseeing the direction a variety of cargo handling functions for airline customers at airport cargo facility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Supports and promotes the local implementation of the SSQMS. Understands contract requirements and customer expectations. Supervises the use of people and equipment to efficiently complete the tasks as directed and within established company standards, by a disciplined following of work schedules. Maintains compliance with company policies and procedures by assuring that established procedures are followed through at all times to ensure a safe and efficient work environment for our customer and their planes as well as our employees. Interprets and communicates to employees, items that are in question in the manuals and/or company policy. Monitors and conducts required training of personnel. Provides employee counseling and discipline as needed. Ensures for the security of all company funds, supplies and equipment. Maintains working relationship with customers and provides prompt response to all service requests. Assures all GSE maintenance procedures are done each shift. Assures all cargo handling complies with any state and federal laws regarding the shipping of cargo, as well as the airline contract expectations. Handles customers inquiries and disputes regarding cargo shipments. Report any hazards, near misses, incidents, accidents, or dangerous occurrences to their manager / supervisor, who will then follow the procedures contained in company and carrier Safety and Security procedures. Carry out work in accordance with information and training provided and any specific health, wellbeing, safety, and security rules or procedures. Fully understand AGI Health & Safety and Security policies. Attend training courses as may be required by AGI. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift / carry / push / pull and move items 70 pounds (32 kg) or more on a regular basis and repetitively lift items weighing 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces. Must be able to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop on a frequent basis and for extended periods. Must be able to be alerted to moving vehicles and use radio equipment to communicate with crew and airport authorities. Must be able to work around machinery noises. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Good Communication Skills : Must be able to communicate information and instructions verbally and/or via radio equipment effectively in a professional manner with the flight crew, gate agents, and other ground crew to coordinate the movement and handling of trucks, equipment, and cargo. Basic math skills: May be required to assist team to calculate piece count, weight and dimensions. Computer skills: Will be required to use computer systems to track cargo. Problem-solving skills: May be called upon to troubleshoot issues with team during loading and unloading. Time management skills: Must be able to manage their time effectively to run a successful cargo team.
