Position Summary Investigates, processes, and assesses the company's liability for low-value cargo claims.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Claims or customer service experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transportation application systems.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and assesses carrier liability for low-value cargo loss and damage claims according to company guidelines.
• Reviews claim forms and documentation for accuracy, obtaining missing information from customers and terminals as needed.
• Communicates with claimants, terminals, and sales to determine liability.
• Recommends liability amounts for low-value cargo claims based on company policy.
• Identifies shipments requiring inspections and coordinates with external agencies.
• Provides backup support to cargo claims associate staff.
