The Cargo Accounting Agent at Lufthansa Cargo plays a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of cargo operations. This position is responsible for processing all accounting requirements from LCAG customers, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial transactions related to air cargo. The agent will maintain the Cash Box and perform cashier duties, which include preparing cash report vouchers and conducting cash audits. Additionally, the agent will manage the airway bill stock inventory specifically for other airlines, ensuring that all records are up-to-date and accurate. In this role, the Cargo Accounting Agent will prepare daily PDI journals and update them with processed invoice data. They will also be responsible for writing and sending refusal letters to vendors, maintaining SFM/TM control for PDI verification of import trucking charges, and keeping detailed records of Road Feeder Service (RFS) payments. The agent will review RFS statements for accuracy and resolve any discrepancies, as well as maintain all RFS contracts and rates. The position requires follow-up with IRP and IDNs for any unresolved collected airfreight invoices, processing requests for flight details, airway bill copies, and TM's. The agent will also handle and reconcile local import/export accounting irregularities and credit card transactions. This role may involve additional duties as assigned or required, making it essential for the agent to be adaptable and detail-oriented.
