Opportunity We are seeking a caretaker to join our team. Our caretakers are responsible for the performance of the day-to-day cleaning of the physical facilities and grounds of the property(ies). These responsibilities will be performed in a manner consistent with the policies of MetroPlains the direct supervision of the community manager.

Requirements

High School or equivalent education with one to two years related experience and/or training preferred or a combination of relevant work experience and education is required
Must have experience in the following areas: HVAC, EPA Universal, Boilers License and/or Pool Certification
Ability to provide training and support on-site to other maintenance team members
Demonstrated support for MetroPlains Management maintenance procedures and policies
Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate to a diverse group of people
A well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player

Customer service skills are highly desirable

Responsibilities

Maintain building and grounds in good clean order.
Walk through halls and laundry rooms daily and pick up the areas.
Vacuum, sweep and mop hallways and laundry rooms.
Make sure that work by service providers is done regularly including garbage collection, snow plowing, grounds maintenance, and maintenance repairs.
Shovel snow, use snow blower, rake leaves, pull weeds, pick up litter as needed, sweep sidewalks and trash enclosures at least weekly; more often if needed.
Walk the grounds daily. Keep grounds free of debris and keep dumpster area picked up.
Clean maintenance areas, garage, mechanical rooms, and storage areas.
Unit Turns to ensure apartments are ready to rent
Other duties as assigned.
