It is expected that the building(s) and grounds be “show ready” for guests and residents by 10:00AM each morning. The individual will perform the following duties for their assigned building(s).

Requirements

  • Ability to set priorities
  • Basic knowledge in all building repair trades and practices
  • Basic knowledge of janitorial procedures
  • Ability to lift moderately heavy objects, climb ladders, perform duties requiring extensive maneuverability and normal strength

Responsibilities

  • Sweep, clean, and shovel sidewalks as required
  • Pick up debris on property
  • Maintain Lobbies/Storage Areas/Boiler Rooms
  • Keep directories and mailboxes clean
  • Spot clean entry carpet as required
  • Sand and salt walks and steps in the winter as needed
  • Maintain shared laundry facilities
  • Check dryers for lint and wipe down all machines
  • Report leaks and repairs needed
  • Replace burned out light bulbs as needed
  • Vacuum hallways as often as necessary
  • Spot clean hall carpet or flooring as required
  • Remove marks on the walls if possible
  • Check emergency lights monthly to insure they work
  • Vacuum stairs
  • Inspect railings to insure that they are “tight”
  • Keep dumpster area clean and swept, hose down if required; and shovel clean in winter
  • Communicate any suspicious behaviors or activities you see to the manager
  • Maintain a professional relationship with other residents
  • Hand out notices as requested by the site office
  • You may be asked to show an apartment if necessary
  • Prep units for new residents
  • Help Community Manager fill vacancies
