About The Position

Maintain public housing and city facilities, performing tasks such as cleaning waste removal, repairs and groundskeeping. Key duties include sweeping and mopping, removing garbage, maintaining furnaces, inspecting elevators, and performing snow removal. Specialized roles include operating vehicles.

Requirements

• Possession of a valid driver's license is required.
• Applicants must have the ability to drive with manual transmission.
• For NYCHA employees: employees applying for transfer, promotional, title or level change opportunities must have served a period of one year at current location and in current title and level (if applicable).
• There are no formal education or experience requirements for this position.
