About The Position

The Carelon Sales Account Executive is responsible for acquiring new business and achieving annual EBITDA targets. This role involves managing the sales cycle from lead qualification to contracting, building strong client relationships, and collaborating with various departments to create innovative products and solutions.

Requirements

  • Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 5 years of sales experience within the healthcare field; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Nice To Haves

  • Health Plan background or experience selling into health plans is strongly preferred.
  • Experience selling into state, counties, and other government entities preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the sales cycle from lead qualification through contracting.
  • Build strong client relationships and establish executive credibility with key stakeholders including clients, government agencies, and vendor partners.
  • Act as a thought leader to potential clients demonstrating knowledge of state and federal programs, health plan business, and regulations.
  • Collaborate with Account Management, Clinical, Government Affairs, Product Development, and Operations to translate identified market opportunities into viable, cost-competitive, and innovative products and solutions.
