About The Position

The Caregiver Coordinator supports the Elderly Center Director by managing the daily operations of the Caregiver and Angels Programs and assisting with the overall Elderly Center programs. This includes schedule coordination, documentation, elder care support, and ensuring program compliance and high-quality service. This position will serve as Acting Director when the Elderly Center Director is out of the office, ensuring continuity of operations, supervision of staff, and adherence to policies. The coordinator must understand the Comanche Nation Elder Food Program and Title VI elders service grant

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred.
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in elder services, caregiving oversight, case management, or related field.
  • Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Certified Health Worker (CHW), or comparable certification preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or able to obtain within 90 days)
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn Title VI elder programs, grant compliance, and food service requirements.
  • Knowledgeable with Excel (functions, data etc.)
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to support and supervise Caregiving and Angel’s staff.
  • Understanding of elder care needs and service documentation.
  • Experience in scheduling and coordinating multiple staff.
  • Ability to work respectfully with tribal elders and families.
  • Strong organizational skills and computer proficiency.
  • Must be willing to submit to and pass a pre-employment and random drug testing.
  • Must be willing to submit to and pass a thorough background investigation.
  • Must have a valid Oklahoma driver’s license and be insurable under the CN Motor Vehicle Policy.

  • Knowledge of tribal programs, elder resources and Title VI requirements (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Elderly Center Director with overall program operations.
  • Serve as acting authority for Elderly Center in the Director’s absence.
  • Support food program operations, ordering, scheduling and meal delivery oversight.
  • Maintain working knowledge of Title VI grants, reporting, allowable costs, and program compliance.
  • Create and manage daily schedules, assignments, routes for caregivers and Angels staff.
  • Review and verify logs, documentation, timecards, and mileage submissions.
  • Conduct regular home visits and wellness checks.
  • Ensure culturally respectful and compassionate elder services.
  • Provide daily direction to caregiving and Angels staff.
  • Support staff training, onboarding, and performance guidance.
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts, emergencies, and field issues.
  • Maintain client files, care notes, and service logs.
  • Respond to client needs and family inquiries.
  • Coordinate referrals and elder service resources.
  • Ensure confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.
  • Assist with federal and tribal reporting for Title VI programs.
  • Support audit preparation and grant compliance processes.
  • Represent the Elderly Center in a professional and culturally respectful manner.
  • Participate in elder activities, community events, and cultural services.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Elderly Center Director or Tribal Administrator.
