About The Position

The Care Partner at The Gardens at ViewPointe is responsible for providing compassionate care and assistance to residents, ensuring their safety and dignity while promoting an engaging and fulfilling experience. This role involves coordinating daily activities, assisting with personal care, and maintaining a supportive environment for residents.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Certification in nursing assistance desired.
• CPR and First Aid certification as required by state guidelines.
• Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with residents and staff.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize workload in emergencies.
• Compassionate attitude towards the elderly and disabled.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a caregiving role or similar environment.
• Knowledge of hazardous materials and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and assistance to residents in a compassionate manner.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Take vital signs and document changes in residents' conditions.
• Schedule doctor appointments as needed and admit new residents per community policy.
• Assist with basic cleaning and maintenance issues when necessary.
• Escort residents to and from the dining room and assist with meal service.
• Answer call lights and respond to residents' needs with empathy and assurance.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure a positive environment.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents' personal information and support their rights.
• Attend required meetings, training sessions, and in-services.
