About The Position
At Serenades at West Orange, we place a high emphasis on the overall wellbeing of our residents and believe in providing excellent care and customer service! The Wellness Associate plays a crucial role in delivering services and care to each resident based on their individual service plan. This position is essential in assisting residents with their daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and maintaining a clean and orderly environment. The Wellness Associate will report directly to the Wellness Director and the Wellness Manager, working collaboratively to enhance the quality of life for our residents. The responsibilities of the Wellness Associate include assisting residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, hygiene, and mobility. It is vital to maintain an awareness of each resident's general state of physical and mental health, reporting any changes immediately to the Wellness Director. The role also involves keeping an inventory of medical supplies, assisting with shift coverage, and helping to onboard new Wellness Associates. In emergencies, the Wellness Associate will provide first aid and arrange for appropriate medical follow-up, ensuring that residents receive timely care. Additionally, the Wellness Associate will assist residents in keeping their living units clean and orderly, respond promptly to calls for assistance, and help with meal selection and service. Participation in in-service education is required to maintain skills and knowledge relevant to the position. The role may also involve compliance with safety policies and effective communication with the Wellness Director and other staff members to ensure the best care for residents.
