About The Position

The Caregiver/Personal Care Assistant position at Woods of Caledonia involves providing essential support to residents in assisted living and memory care settings. Requirements

• CBRF Certified Caregiver
• At least 6 months of CBRF or SNF experience
• Ability to work well with people and handle everyday challenges positively
• Experience in long-term care or assisted living
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Commitment to professional interaction with residents, families, and staff

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, and other activities of daily living.
• Follows the schedule of resident's needs set out by the supervisor.
• Provides emotional and social support to residents.
• Documents daily log of assistance provided to residents.
• Informs supervisor of any resident issues or concerns.
• Respects and encourages the independence and dignity of the residents.
• Maintains residents' confidentiality.
• Familiar with emergency equipment and procedures.
• Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
• Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents and preservation of equipment.
• Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
