About The Position

The Caregiver position at Clarendale Six Corners involves providing high-quality personal care to residents in a senior living community. The role focuses on assisting residents with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being, and promoting a calm and hospitable environment. Caregivers are expected to engage with residents, document their status, and respond to emergencies, all while adhering to community policies and fostering a culture of hospitality.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of experience working as a CNA, PCA, HHA, or RA preferred.
• One year of experience in assisted living or memory care preferred.
• Proficiency in the English language for communication and documentation.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a hospitality-focused environment.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist all residents/clients with personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and vital signs checks.
• Make and change beds as needed and complete residents' personal laundry as assigned.
• Assist residents during meal times, encouraging them to eat and cutting food as necessary.
• Utilize special programs offered by the community to enhance resident care.
• Promote a calm atmosphere and complete shift assignments as required.
• Report any unusual behavior of residents to the nursing supervisor and Director of Health Services.
• Provide planned activities for residents and document their status as per policy.
• Respond to call lights and emergencies promptly, providing emergency care within the scope of practice.
• Familiarize oneself with and follow community policies.
