About The Position
BrightStar Care is looking for the next best Caregiver to hire within our Care Homes! Our Care Homes house up to 10 residents and always have at least 2 Caregivers on. That means, that is a 1-5 ratio for you! One of the lowest Caregiver-Resident ratio in the Treasure Valley! Not only are the ratios extremely easy to work with, but so are the residents and your fellow Caregivers. Requirements
- Proven experience as a caregiver (Preferred but will provide training
- Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR)
- Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
- Respectful and compassionate
- Good time management skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong ethics
- Physical endurance
- Background clearance from Health and Welfare
- Able to pass a drug screening
Responsibilities
- Help residents take prescribed medication
- Assist residents with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside
- Assist residents with personal care and hygiene
- Help residents with physical therapy exercises prepare meals with menus
- Be a pleasant and supportive companion
- Report any unusual incidents
- Provide a safe and clean environment
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
