About The Position

Are you an experienced caregiver—or someone who has cared for a loved one with advanced needs—looking for meaningful part-time work? Senior Helpers of South Orange County is hiring compassionate and skilled Caregivers in Lake Forest , CA for part-time morning shifts . We’re seeking caregivers who are experienced with personal care, mobility assistance , and clients facing complex medical conditions like wheelchair bound/ immobile clients, dementia/ Alzheimer's, Parkinson's disease, and other conditions. This role is ideal for someone who wants to provide meaningful care, one-on-one, in a part-time capacity.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED required
• 1 year of caregiving experience preferred in an agency, assisted living facility and other similar professional settings.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
• Strong communication, patience, and dependability

Nice To Haves

• Advanced dementia or Alzheimer’s disease
• Reduced mobility, immobility, or bed-bound conditions
• Use of Hoyer lifts, gait belts, or slide boards
• End-of-life, Parkinson’s, or stroke recovery care

Responsibilities

• Personal Care (ADLs): Bathing, grooming, and hygiene care
• Dressing and toileting support
• Feeding assistance
• Transfers, repositioning, and mobility help (with or without Hoyer lift or gait belt)
• Incontinence care
• Companion Care (IADLs): Meal prep and light housekeeping
• Medication reminders
• Emotional support and engaging conversation
• Assistance with errands or short walks
• Creating a safe, calming daily routine
