About The Position

We are searching for an experienced, compassionate Caregiver to join the team at Bear Creek Memory Care in Molalla, OR. As a Caregiver at Bear Creek Memory Care, you will provide personalized and compassionate care to elderly residents with dementia and other forms of memory loss. Maintaining a safe and clean environment to ensure the well-being of residents. Following directions from Medtechs and managers in providing direct care services. Assisting residents with their daily activities such as eating, dressing, and personal hygiene. Listening and responding to resident needs and communicating their health status to Medtechs, RCC, and RN. Maintaining compliance with all local, state, and federal guidelines. Caregivers are responsible for ensuring that they work in a safe manner, that they support other employees in working in a safe manner, and that unsafe actions are corrected. Caregivers are responsible for fostering teamwork with co-workers, showing initiative in overcoming obstacles, taking actions that assist others beyond job responsibilities, and having a positive impact on co-workers, residents, and visitors.

Requirements

• US Work Authorization.
• 18 years or older.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Up-to-date CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Must have excellent communication and listening skills.
• Compassion and patience are a must.
• Must be able to follow protocol and work with a team.
• Must be organized and detail-oriented.
• Must be a self-starter, able to work independently or with minimal direction.
• Must be flexible and willing to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in caring for elderly persons with dementia and Alzheimer’s is preferred but not required.
