About The Position

Senior Helpers, a leader in providing in-home senior care services, is seeking a dedicated & compassionate Part-time Caregiver for two clients in Thornton & surrounding areas. This role requires hands-on personal care for both male and female clients , including bathroom and shower assistance. This position will primarily assist clients with their personal care needs and provide companionship to improve their overall quality of life. This is a part-time position and the individual in this role will work directly with clients in their homes. MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION & NEED TO BE LISTED AS A VALID DRIVER ON YOUR INSURANCE AREAS WE SERVE: Broomfield, Arvada, Westminster, Thornton , Northglenn, Wheat Ridge, Lafayette, Aurora, Commerce City, Denver

Requirements

• Compassionate and patient demeanor
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• Ability to pass a background check
• Basic knowledge of personal care and homemaking tasks
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development programs
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and bend, stoop, and stand for long periods of time

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing.
• MUST be comfortable providing personal cares for both male and Female clients
• Help remind clients to take prescribed medication according to their physician’s instructions.
• Provide companionship and engage in meaningful conversations and activities with clients
• Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping tasks (taking out the trash, dishes, laundry, sweeping/vacuuming.
• Assisting the client with transfers, ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor appointments, walks etc.)
• Monitor and report any changes in client's health or behavior to the caregiver supervisor
• Follow all health and safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Attend ongoing training/development programs to enhance caregiving skills
• Must be comfortable providing personal care (including toileting and bathing) to clients of all genders.
