The Care Companion Caregiver is responsible for client satisfaction by assisting them with activities of daily living, providing companionship, and performing light housekeeping duties. The caregiver also helps with simple meal preparation, socialization, and client transport. Schedule: Morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend hours, with availability required every other weekend. We can be flexible with your schedule; however, hours need to be consistent week to week. The role is roughly 10–15 hours per week. Pay: Based on prior caregiving experience, between $16.44-$24.65 per hour

Requirements

High School diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and access to a reliable vehicle.

Nice To Haves

Previous caregiving, homemaking or personal care work preferred but not required.
CNA or Personal Care Worker experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Assisting clients with activities of daily living
Providing companionship
Performing light housekeeping duties
Helping with simple meal preparation
Socialization
Client transport
Maintain required competencies and skills.
Report changes in client conditions or family situation immediately to the appropriate individual(s).
Consistently and concisely document activity according to Care Companions' protocols and Standards
Comply with all applicable local, State, and Federal laws and regulations as well as policies and procedures of Unity.
Satisfy mandatory training requirements regarding local, state, and federal regulations and/or Unity’s policies and procedures.
Promote and maintain confidentiality.
Maintain personal and professional boundaries.
Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
