About The Position

Griswold Home Care in Salisbury, MD which serves the Lower Eastern Shore, is looking for a compassionate and dependable Caregiver to assist with daily living tasks and provide companionship to a client in their home. This is a non-medical role that includes light housekeeping, meal preparation, transportation and general support to help the individual remain safe, comfortable, and independent. Hours vary between 8:00am to 4:00pm, days will vary. Requirements

2+ years of previous caregiver experience preferred (personal or professional)
Strong communication and time management skills
Patient, kind, and reliable
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Required to be CPR Certified
Must pass a background check

Responsibilities

Provide personal care, companionship and social interaction
Assist with light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, vacuuming, tidying up)
Prepare and serve simple meals
Support with transportation and errands such as grocery shopping, prescription pickups or doctor appointments
Help maintain a clean and organized home environment
Encourage and support daily routines and activities
Report any changes in the client’s condition to family or supervisor
Completing all documentation for each shift you work, submitting timely updates
