Requirements

Caring and Compassionate—you enjoy helping others
MUST have a valid CNA license or PCA/HHA certification
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (no photocopies accepted)
Pass a background check
Willing to work with clients who have pets (cats and/or dogs)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Previous experience in caregiving, preferably with seniors.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening. Testing includes, but is not limited to, amphetamines, methamphetamines, cocaine, opiates (including morphine), and benzodiazepines. Applicants with valid prescriptions may disclose them to the testing provider.

Responsibilities

Companionship: Engage in meaningful conversations and provide emotional support to seniors.
Assistance with Daily Activities: Help with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
Medication Management: Assist clients with medication reminders and ensure they adhere to prescribed medication schedules.
Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals based on dietary requirements and preferences.
Light Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment for the senior.
Transportation: Assist with transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and other essential outings.
Monitoring Health: Observe and report any changes in the senior's health or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals or family members.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of care provided and any significant changes in the client's condition.
