About The Position
Apex Companion Care, part of LHC Group and Optum, is seeking a Per Diem Aide to provide support and assistance with personal hygiene and household functions, enabling individuals to remain in their own homes. This role offers an environment that challenges performance, provides clear direction for success, and offers development opportunities for other roles.
Requirements
- Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation or access to public transit
- FL: 40-hour AHCA-required training or passing AHCA competency test
Nice To Haves
- 6+ months of home care experience
- Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire
- Ability to work flexible hours and independently
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, and medication reminder
- Support household tasks, meal preparation, and accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed
- Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents; maintain confidentiality and use EVV system
- Ensure a safe environment, operate medical equipment properly, and respond promptly to client needs
- Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client
