About The Position

Community Resource Network of Florida is looking for a caregiver who is fun, compassionate, dependable and is committed to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) achieve their highest level of independence and live their best life. This is an independent contract position and pays $15.25 per hour. Caregiver must be outgoing, provide companion assistance to a young female, help facilitate new activities for socialization, help develop organization skills, and transportation.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license
Must be able to pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening
Provide proven 1 year of caregiving experience or technical training.
Have a High School diploma or equivalent
Are 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

Encouraging and supporting the individual during home activities
Ensuring individuals safety and maintaining a safe living environment
Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individual to social events, community outings, such as grocery shopping and appointments
Promote communication, choice, independence, and socialization
Complete daily progress notes
