About The Position
HomeWell is looking for caring, dependable, and service-oriented individuals who are passionate about supporting others to live safely and comfortably at home. In this role, you will provide non-medical personal care and companionship that enhances each client’s dignity, independence, and quality of life. Caregivers assist with everyday activities, and help maintain a safe, welcoming home environment. Your support allows clients to remain in familiar surroundings while receiving the respectful, attentive care they deserve. Requirements
- Valid Driver's License (Required)
- Car Insurance (Required)
- Reliable transportation (Required)
- Ability to Commute: Arnold, MO
- Ability to Relocate: Arnold, MO: Relocate before starting work (Required)
Nice To Haves
- Experience caring for bedbound patients preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care and working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- Experience with transfers
- Ability to manage challenging behaviors with patience and empathy
- Proficiency in meal preparation and following dietary guidelines
- Familiarity with direct support systems and protocols
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and their families
- Caregiving: 2 years (Preferred)
- Bed bound: 2 years
- Dementia Care: 2 years
- Hospice Care: 2 years
- Manual Patient Handling: 2 years
- Gait Belt
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with personal care, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Assist with medication reminders
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to dietary needs
- Assist with mobility, including lifting and transferring individuals
- Support individuals with developmental disabilities in daily activities
- Implement behavior management techniques as needed
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment
