Opportunity for Part-time Caregiver - St. Augustine
About The Position
Community Resource Network of Florida is looking for a caregiver who is fun, compassionate, dependable and is committed to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) achieve their highest level of independence and live their best life. In need of a compassionate, patient, and outgoing companion to take individuals out to community outings and social events, providing emotional support and ensuring a positive, tailored experience. This is an independent contract position and pays $15.25 per hour Schedule: Hours and days flexible
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be able to pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening
- Provide proven 1 year of caregiving experience or technical training.
- Have a High School diploma or equivalent
- Are 18 years of age or older
Responsibilities
- Encouraging and supporting the individual during home activities
- Supporting with personal hygiene
- Meal/snack preparation and feeding assistance
- Ensuring individual's safety and maintaining a safe living environment
- Performing light housekeeping tasks
- Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individual to social events, community outings, such as grocery shopping and appointments
- Promote communication, choice, independence, and socialization
- Complete daily progress notes
