About The Position
Senior Helpers is seeking compassionate and dependable caregivers to serve seniors throughout Central Iowa, including Ames, Boone, and surrounding communities. This role involves building meaningful relationships and providing essential support to promote comfort, dignity, and independence for older adults in their own homes. Senior Helpers thoughtfully matches caregivers with clients and offers comprehensive training and ongoing support. Prior experience in various healthcare settings is highly preferred. Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in home care, healthcare, assisted living, or a related field preferred
- Prior experience in assisted living, independent living, senior communities, nursing homes, home care, or similar healthcare settings is highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including meal preparation, personal care, and light housekeeping
- Provide companionship and meaningful social engagement
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and dignified home environment
