About The Position

Comfort Keepers is seeking a calm, experienced caregiver in Northampton to provide morning weekend support for a bedridden client with moderate to severe dementia. The client requires Hoyer‑lift transfers for all movement, assistance with personal care, light housekeeping, and meal preparation. Caregivers who are patient, attentive to safety, and skilled with mechanical lifts will be a strong fit.

Position Type

Part‑Time (hours based on assigned shifts)

Schedule
8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Weekend care (specific weekend days assigned based on availability and staffing needs)
Care Needs Include
Hoyer‑lift transfers for all mobility needs
Repositioning and safe handling
Assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal care
Light housekeeping and maintaining a tidy space
Meal preparation and feeding support
Calm, reassuring companionship for a client with dementia

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Able to pass background screening
• Physically able to perform hands‑on caregiving tasks and safe Hoyer transfers
• Dependable and professional attendance

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, respectful personal care and transfers
• Follow safe lift and transfer protocols at all times
• Prepare simple meals and assist with feeding as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the home environment
• Communicate clearly and promptly with the care team
