About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Male In-Home Caregiver with experience in dementia care to provide essential support to a client in his own home. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in caregiving, particularly in home care settings, geriatrics, and ADL care. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort and well-being of our client, allowing him to maintain his independence while receiving the care they needs.

Empathyhands Homecare is seeking an experienced caregiver (CNA or HHA preferred) to provide in-home care services for a client in the Northridge and Canogo Park Areas. This position requires hands-on assistance with mobility and personal care.

Requirements

• Previous experience in home care required
• Experience with safe transfers and mobility assistance
• Ability to lift and assist using proper transfer techniques
• Reliable, professional, and compassionate
• Ability to work consistent day, afternoon evening shifts

Nice To Haves

• CNA or HHA certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Transfers from wheelchair to bed using proper body mechanics
• Sponge baths and personal hygiene care
• Feeding assistance
• Assist our client with Dementia care, Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, range of motion exercises, and toileting.
• Provide him with companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment.
• Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
• Support clients with mobility assistance
• Medication reminder and monitor health conditions. inc
• Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.
• Fall prevention and follow safety protocols.
• Ensuring client safety at all times
