Immediate open position for elderly man in Bolton CT (wife lives at the home but cannot care for him) He is in need for day time and night time OR a live-in caregiver 7 days a week. Shifts: 9am to 5pm and 9pm to 5am OR a live-in caregiver

Requirements

  • Previous experience in patient care or senior care is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities is advantageous.
  • Background in nursing homes or home health settings is beneficial.
  • Skills in social work or related fields can enhance your effectiveness as a caregiver.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to the unique needs of each client is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Support clients with meal preparation and ensure nutritional needs are met.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor health conditions.
  • Assist with mobility and lifting clients safely to prevent injury.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
  • Document care provided and report any changes in client conditions to healthcare professionals.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, promoting social interaction and engagement.
  • Uphold confidentiality standards in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
