Your heart. Their growth. Make a real difference by supporting individuals with disabilities Position: Caregiver - 1146 Y Starting Wage: $23/Hour Schedule: Tuesday/Thursday Afternoons, and open to any hours willing to be worked on weekends. Location: Bend Or. Experience: Moderate 🌻 Client Bio: Hello! I'm a kind, easygoing person who enjoys having a good routine and being around people who are calm, patient, and positive. I love using Google and Google Maps to explore the world, especially anything to do with airplanes!! I also like coloring apps, word searches, and being read to. Going to the library each week to check out books is one of my favorite parts of my routine. I enjoy music too, especially Winnie the Pooh songs, Elton John, Dave Matthews Band, and John Denver. I also love sitting on the porch and having peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I do best when things are predictable and clearly explained. I like to know what's happening next and have time to process and respond before moving on. If I get frustrated or anxious, giving me space and keeping a calm tone helps me reset. It's very important that the people around me stay positive—if someone is upset, I can feel it and it can make me uneasy. My caregiver should know how to use a computer and tablet to help me if something goes wrong—like if the internet stops working or I need help spelling something online. I like to stay active, go for walks, and do things in the community. Having someone who understands autism is really important to me. I'm happiest when I feel supported by someone who is patient, understanding, and willing to help me stay on track while letting me do my own thing. 🌻 Why Join Us? We go beyond care.
