Requirements
- CNA or HHA certification preferred OR 6 months full-time / 12 months part-time experience caring for seniors or chronically ill individuals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation; valid driver’s license and auto insurance required if transporting clients
- Proof of current TB testing
- Ability to safely perform the physical duties of the role
- Dependable, punctual, and compassionate nature
- Must pass a national criminal background check and any state-required screenings
Nice To Haves
- 1,000 hours of long-term care experience preferred, but not required for newly licensed CNAs or PCAs
Responsibilities
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Light cooking and housekeeping
- Assisting with bathing, grooming, and toileting
- Offering medication reminders and mobility assistance
- Providing transportation to appointments, errands, and activities
