About The Position

Assisting Hands Hiring compassionate, dependable caregivers. Must be 21+ and over in order to support senior with personal care, ADLs, and companionship. This is a caregiving position - not a pet sitting job. Some clients have pets and caregivers may also complete brief pet care shifts (which typically are 15 minutes) Seeking qualified caregivers providing quality care to people and also comfortable assisting their pets. What you will do: Provide companionship and emotional support Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including: Bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting Support mobility and safe transfer Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping Complete short pet care visits when assigned (feeding, walks, litter care) Communicate updates and document care provided About the Visits: Mix of shift lengths - we have morning, afternoon, evening, overnight, weekend shifts available - build your own schedule. 25-37 hours per week on average. Pet care visits are brief ( typically 15 minutes) Clients may need both hands-on care and pet support Important: This role is not a fit for applicants seeking pet-only work. We are hiring caregivers who are willing to support clients with personal care needs as well as occasional pet care.

Requirements

Dependable with a strong work history
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Minimum of one year of professional experience working with seniors
Comfortable with cats and dogs
Active driver’s license and reliable transportation
Must be 21+ years of age to meet company insurance requirements for transporting clients.
