About The Position
Comfort Keepers is looking for individuals who want to Elevate The Human Spirit of our senior clients. Is this you? Come join our team. Full Time and Part Time shifts available. Starts at $20.00 an hour! The Caregiver is responsible for the physical care and emotional support of our clients who may no longer be able to take care of themselves due to illness, injury, surgery, or disability. The ideal candidate must be able to care for our clients and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect. This person will encourage and remain empathetic to the clients at all times. A physically active senior maintains strength and independence, lessening or delaying the effects of aging. A well-nourished senior is more energetic, both physically and mentally. A safe senior lives in an environment that reduces the likelihood of accidents and promotes timely response when illness or accidents occur. With our Interactive Caregiving approach, we are able to raise seniors’ quality of life to a much higher level than typical in homecare providers.
Requirements
- High school diploma preferred.
- Must stand for (sometimes) a long period of time
- Ability to reach, bend, kneel and stand for (sometimes) a long period of time
- Ability to obtain State Home Care Aide License
- Dependable transportation and vehicle insurance.
Responsibilities
- Home assistance – Provide light housekeeping, run errands or provide transportation if needed.
- Accompany clients to appointments and assist with medications.
- Prepare meals, purchase food and provide personal assistance with general living needs.
- Personal services could include toileting, bathing, feeding and grooming.
- Provide any financial aid if needed such as balancing checkbooks, going to the bank or helping the client to pay their bills.
- Companionship – Provide companionship and conversation by stimulating, encouraging and assisting an individual.
