About The Position

Come work for Western Slope In-Home Care and make a difference! You will get the opportunity to provide compassionate care to individuals in their home and give back to the elder blind or disabled. Western Slope In-Home Care provides home care services to Medicaid, VA, LTC insurance, and private pay clients who want to remain independent and live in their own homes. Caregivers need to live in the NW Colorado area to work with our Agency. You can be a part of that mission. Part-time positions available. Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour Here's Why Our Team Likes Working with Us: Benefits-eligible at 30+ hours per week. 401K offered to employees after two years of work. Supplemental insurance is available. One-on-one patient care. Flexible Scheduling Caregivers work in the privacy of each patient’s home allowing you more time one-on-one to get to know your patient and provide quality care. This support also empowers the patient to remain as independent and comfortable as possible at home. COVID-19 considerations: We provide infection control training, provide a PPE training and a gear bag at orientation. Requirements

  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 1 year of caregiver experience preferred

Nice To Haves

  • CNA a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing, and eating
  • Remind clients to take prescribed medication
  • Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
  • Assist with personal care and hygiene
  • Plan and prepare meals
  • Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
  • Perform housekeeping duties
  • Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
  • Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary
  • Promote personal safety and a safe environment for clients.
  • Maintain compliance with agency policy, procedures, and job requirements.
