About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable caregiver to provide part-time support for an individual living with dementia in Stafford, VA. The ideal candidate will have experience in dementia care and a patient, understanding approach to supporting daily living needs while promoting dignity and comfort.

Requirements

• Prior experience with dementia or Alzheimer’s care preferred
• Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Dependable, punctual, and trustworthy
• Ability to pass a background check

Nice To Haves

• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Monitor and respond to changes in behavior or condition
• Assist with mobility and ensure a safe environment
• Prepare light meals and assist with feeding if needed
• Provide medication reminders (non-medical)
• Engage in meaningful activities tailored to cognitive ability
• Maintain clear communication with family members regarding care updates
