This is a non-exempt, full-time or part-time, hourly role responsible for providing direct support within a single program or unit, typically supporting 4-6 individuals in residential settings or up to 10 individuals in periodic programs. Key responsibilities include delivering support according to individual service/program plans, encompassing socialization, health maintenance, medication administration, and skill/behavioral development. The role also involves assisting with daily activities such as personal care, housekeeping, recreational activities, transportation, community integration, shopping, citizenship, and other activities of daily living. Essential job functions include providing direct support, accurately documenting progress and activity, managing individuals' assets, maintaining professional relationships, reporting incidents of abuse or neglect, and respecting individuals' rights. The Caregiver will also assist with health care by accompanying individuals to medical appointments, administering medications, monitoring health, utilizing medical equipment, and preparing meals. Employment responsibilities include attending training and staff meetings, working scheduled hours, collaborating with team members, and ensuring workplace safety. Maintenance duties involve safely transporting individuals, performing daily housekeeping, monitoring environmental safety, and participating in safety drills.
