About The Position

At Senior Helpers of South Orange County , our mission is to provide premium, purpose-driven home care services that help seniors age with dignity, independence, and joy —right in the comfort of their own homes. We’re currently hiring compassionate, reliable caregivers for part-time morning shifts (10AM–2PM) in Newport Beach . You’ll provide essential personal care and companionship to wonderful older adults in your local community. Whether you’re an experienced caregiver or have helped a loved one before, we’d love to meet you! You’ll be following a personalized care plan designed to meet each client’s unique needs — and building meaningful relationships along the way.

Requirements

Ideally, has an active Home Care Aide (HCA) registration and at least 1 year of caregiver experience in an agency, assisted living, nursing home, or similar home care settings.
No experience or certifications are required - we gladly welcome first-time caregivers to apply with us!
Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing physical tasks.
Pass background checks and drug screenings.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate and positive attitude.
Ability to work independently and follow care plans.
Ability to communicate with office staff, clients, and other caregivers through phone call, text, and email.

Responsibilities

Assistance with bathing, grooming, and hygiene routines
Help with dressing and changing clothes
Toileting support and incontinence care
Safe transfers and mobility assistance (bed, chair, walker, etc.)
Monitoring and assistance with medication reminders
Assistance with feeding and basic nutrition support
Engaging in friendly conversation and emotional support
Accompanying clients on walks or to appointments (if applicable)
Light housekeeping (laundry, tidying up, organizing)
Meal planning and simple meal preparation
Support with errands and grocery shopping
Encouraging mental stimulation, hobbies, or games
Providing reassurance and a calming presence
