About The Position

Are you passionate about making a difference in people’s lives? Village Caregiving is looking for compassionate caregivers , CNAs , and Home Health Aides to join our team in Ottumwa, Iowa. Various part time and per diem shifts available Making a meaningful difference in someone’s health and quality of life Flexible schedule Referral program RESPONSIBILITIES Support clients in moving safely and comfortably, whether around the home or when accompanying them to appointments and walks. Assist clients with personal care, hygiene, and daily living activities to ensure comfort and dignity. Help clients complete physical therapy and other non-skilled recommended exercises Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own, including preparing meals Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family members Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency REQUIREMENTS Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints Must be respectful and compassionate Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills Physical endurance to complete required tasks High school diploma or equivalent We are an equal opportunity employer and prohibit discrimination/harassment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws

Requirements

  • Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required
  • Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification
