About The Position

The Companion/Home Health Caregiver position at Adept Home Health Care Inc involves providing personal care and assistance to clients in their homes. Caregivers will follow individual care plans and perform tasks such as bathing, grooming, feeding, and assisting with medications under the supervision of a registered nurse. The role requires reliability, compassion, and the ability to work closely with clients to enhance their daily living experiences.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Demonstrate competency in providing personal care to clients.
  • Observe and practice rules of conduct, ethics, and confidentiality.
  • Must have reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in assisting individuals with personal hygiene care, grooming, bathing, and transferring clients.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, preparing meals, transferring, and toileting.
  • Assisting with personal maintenance, such as grooming, bathing, dressing, and routine hair and skin care.
  • Assisting with general household activities and chore services necessary to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment.
  • Providing protective supervision as temporary relief for the primary caregiver.
  • Providing ambulatory and exercise assistance.
  • Assisting with medications that are normally self-administered, such as reminding clients to take their medication.
  • Performing nursing tasks only when delegated by registered nurses.
  • Escorting the participant on trips to obtain medical diagnosis or treatment.
  • Reporting to work at the client's home on assigned days and hours.
  • Requesting supervisor approval for any changes to the schedule, hours, or tasks.
  • Notifying the office supervisor of any inability to work as scheduled due to illness or emergency.
  • Utilizing the EVV system to clock in and out daily as instructed by the supervisor.
  • Notifying the supervisor of all on and off the job injuries and illnesses.
  • Reporting any changes in the client's condition to the supervisor immediately.
  • Reporting any suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation to the supervisor.
