About The Position

Village Caregiving - Lexington is currently seeking compassionate and dedicated caregivers to provide direct care and support to elderly clients in their homes. This role focuses on ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of clients while working in a supportive and collaborative environment. Caregivers will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Previous experience as a caregiver or in a related field is preferred but not required, we provide PAID training including CPR
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Medications reminders
• Plan and prepare meals and snacks
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks and laundry as needed
• Escort clients to appointments and activities
• Engage in meaningful conversation and activities with clients to promote socialization and cognitive stimulation
• Monitor and report changes in clients' physical and mental health
• Communicate effectively with clients and their families
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
