You help people in their homes. Mostly older adults. Baths, getting dressed, meals, light cleaning, errands, companionship. This is physical work — you help people move around and stand most of the day. If you need help doing these tasks, tell us. We can talk about what might work. You do NOT give medicine or do medical tasks. That's for nurses. WHY STNAs GET HIRED FASTER You already passed the state test. That's what your license means. Other caregivers take a written and skills test with us. You don't. This cuts days off the process. HOW CLIENT MATCHING WORKS You tell us your limits during your phone interview: pets, smoking, travel distance, days and times. We only assign clients that match YOUR limits. Period. The tradeoff: The more flexible you are, the faster you start. The more restrictive, the longer you wait. We might have 5 clients available today. But if none match your limits, for you there are zero. This is YOUR timeline to control. Three scenarios: - You're open to most things → Could start with 20-40 hours immediately - You have strict limits → May wait 1-2 weeks for a matching client - You're open but we have no matches today → You're first in line for the next one During your first 2 weeks, we gauge reliability with fill-in shifts. But if permanent clients match you right away, we assign them right away. After that, you have your regular clients — same people every week. Most caregivers have 2-4 regulars. You can still pick up extra fill-ins if you want more hours. ALL STNAs WELCOME Just passed your state test? We love new STNAs. Fresh training, we give real-world experience. Many agencies want "experienced only." We don't. Experienced and ready for better? Tired of forced overtime and ignored limits? Bring your experience. Coming back after time off? As long as your Ohio license is active, you're welcome.
