About The Position

The Caregiver position involves providing essential support and care to developmentally delayed children and adults in the San Gabriel Valley area. The role focuses on assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and maintaining communication with the agency regarding client status. This position offers both part-time and full-time opportunities with flexible scheduling.

Requirements

• Current CPR and First Aid Certification
• Negative TB (Tuberculosis) Test
• Department of Justice (DOJ) level of Live Scan
• Valid California Driver's license or California Card
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus

Nice To Haves

• High school or equivalent education (Preferred)
• 1 year of caregiving experience (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Take care of developmentally delayed children and adults
• Report directly to administrative agent
• Assist with shampooing and bathing in tub, shower, or bed
• Provide hair care and oral hygiene assistance
• Assist with toileting, if safe
• Help with food preparation and feeding
• Engage clients in activities, if safe
• Perform light cleaning around the client
• Make patient's bed and change linen
• Provide emotional support and motivation
• Maintain appropriate agency records
• Submit confirmed visits bi-monthly by the 14th and 30th/31st of every month
• Adhere to all reporting regulations per policy
• Follow all safety requirements per regulation and departmental policy
• Maintain regular verbal and written contact with agency
• Notify director immediately of any unusual occurrence or change in client status
• Attend in-services as scheduled
