About The Position

Thrive Support Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Caregiver / Personal Attendant to provide compassionate care and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities. This rewarding role involves empowerment through helping with daily tasks and fostering independence. Thrive Support Services was founded in 2007 with the goal of helping adults with developmental disabilities Thrive in their own homes and chosen communities. They serve clients throughout the Alameda and Contra Costa County Areas, aiming to make a difference in peoples' lives every day.

Requirements

• At least one (1) year experience working as a caregiver or in-home aide, preferably with adults with developmental disabilities
• High level of accountability and dependability
• Must be able to provide hands-on care and support including bathing, dressing, changing depends, assist with medication, etc
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must have a valid California Driver License
• Must have access to reliable vehicle
• Must be able to pass DOJ fingerprinting/criminal background check
• Must be able to obtain CPR/First Aid certification
• Must be able to obtain TB test result
• Must have valid auto insurance with $100,000-$300,000 bodily injury liability insurance

Responsibilities

• Support developmentally disabled clients with their daily living activities such as dressing, grooming, meal planning and preparation, medication administration and community outing
• Perform light housekeeping
