About The Position

The Caregiver supports residents with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, socialization, cognition, and physical health. Encourages resident independence, supports resident choice and preserves resident dignity through professional conduct and interactions.

Requirements

• Must meet age requirements according to facility policy and state regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Prior direct care experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Current CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports residents with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, socialization, cognition, and physical health.
• Encourages resident independence and supports resident choice.
• Preserves resident dignity through professional conduct and interactions.
• Completes work without constant supervision.
• Demonstrates consistent work attendance as scheduled.
• Addresses work-related problems with the proper individuals.
• Maintains confidentiality of both resident and staff information.
• Presents with a neat, clean appearance.
• Exhibits a positive customer service attitude.
• Participates in designated facility in-services.
• Helps new staff learn job tasks and responsibilities.
