Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Caregiver.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Med Tech (if interested in Med Tech position).
  • Must have or be able to obtain a valid CPR certification.
  • Speak, read, and understand the English language.
  • Committed to health & safety.
  • Able to do housework and cooking.
  • Well-organized and reliable.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • A positive and compassionate attitude.
  • Physical stamina.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Read and implement care/activities of daily living (ADLs) according to the resident service plan.
  • Respond to resident needs, pendant calls, and other community alarms in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate empathy and develop a caring rapport with residents.
  • Promote resident independence and self-care.
  • Deliver care and services in accordance with individual service plans for all assigned residents.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of care delivered.
  • Conduct visual safety checks on all assigned residents at the start and end of each shift.
  • Communicate resident status effectively with the next shift.
  • Report changes in resident conditions to nursing in a timely manner.
  • Complete incident reports accurately and timely.
  • Understand and demonstrate safety and infection control practices.
  • Promote a clean, orderly, and safe environment.
  • Assist housekeeping and maintenance staff to keep the community and resident property clean.
  • Recognize and report concerns in the resident's environment to ensure safety and comfort.
  • Address individual behavioral needs of the resident and identify psychosocial needs.
  • Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including grooming and transferring residents as needed.
  • Ensure clients receive their medication on time.
  • Assist in meal preparation and serving, and report changes in eating habits to the supervisor.
  • Record and report changes in resident's condition, including vital signs and skin changes.
  • Respond promptly to resident requests for assistance, including emergency situations.
