About The Position

Position Overview: The Caregiver is a vital member of the care team, responsible for providing compassionate, non-medical assistance to clients in their homes. This role focuses on supporting clients with their daily living activities while ensuring their safety, well-being, and comfort. Caregivers play a key role in monitoring client conditions, maintaining accurate care records, and effectively communicating with the care team.

Knowledge of basic nutrition and meal preparation.
Ability to build positive relationships with clients and provide compassionate care.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation.
Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
CPR/First Aid Certification
Arizona Food Handler’s Card
T.B Test
Must maintain current certifications, including First Aid, TB test, and required in-service training.
Must pass a background check and drug screening.
Physically capable of performing caregiving duties, including standing, bending, and lifting.

Responsibilities

Assist clients in maintaining their independence by providing daily support and companionship.
Monitor and document the client’s physical and mental condition, reporting any changes to the Field Supervisor.
Maintain a safe and secure environment by following established care procedures and safety protocols.
Adhere to all HIPAA guidelines regarding the confidentiality of client health information.
Uphold company and industry standards, including compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene needs.
Provide mobility assistance, including support with walking aids (cane, walker) and other adaptive equipment.
Help plan and prepare meals and snacks in accordance with dietary needs outlined in the client’s care plan.
If needed, assist with client feeding.
Observe and report any changes in a client’s: Physical condition (e.g., mobility, weight, appetite). Mental or emotional well-being (e.g., mood changes, confusion). Home environment that may pose safety risks.
Perform light housekeeping duties such as tidying up, laundry, and maintaining a clean living space.
Document care activities and communicate updates with the caregiving team through client care records.
Participate in ongoing training and in-service education as required.
