About The Position

Senior Helpers – South Tacoma is seeking compassionate, dependable caregivers to join our growing team. As a caregiver, you will provide one-on-one support that allows seniors to remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their own homes. We are a woman-owned, family-run business, and we pride ourselves on treating both our clients and our caregivers like family. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
Current HCA or CNA certification preferred
At least one year of caregiving experience preferred
A valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and a clean driving record
At least two satisfactory references from previous employers
Ability to read and follow written instructions and document in English using a mobile app
Successful completion of a comprehensive criminal background check and drug screening

Nice To Haves

Current HCA or CNA certification preferred
At least one year of caregiving experience preferred

Responsibilities

Building meaningful relationships with clients through conversation and companionship
Assisting with activities of daily living such as dressing, walking, and personal hygiene
Supporting light housekeeping and meal preparation
Engaging clients in hobbies and recreational activities such as games, gardening, or crafts
Observing and reporting any changes in client condition to the care team
Accompanying clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and community outings
