Assisting Hands Home Care – Merrillville is currently hiring compassionate and dependable Caregivers, Home Care Aides, PCAs to provide non-medical, in-home care to seniors and adults. Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
At least 1 year of caregiving experience preferred (home care, assisted living, or long-term care)
Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
Ability to pass a national background check
CPR certification and TB test (or willingness to obtain)
Professional, dependable, and compassionate
Comfortable using a smartphone for scheduling and documentation

Nice To Haves

CNA experience is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, walking, and transfers
Provide companionship and emotional support
Perform light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and organization
Assist with safe mobility (walker, wheelchair, etc.)
Provide medication reminders (no administration)
Observe and report changes in client condition
Complete care notes and clock in/out using a mobile app
Follow all agency policies, safety guidelines, and infection control procedures
