About The Position

Join the Big Island Habilitation Team as a Caregiver and make a lasting impact in the lives of individuals with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, and other Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities (IDDs). BAYADA Habilitation is currently seeking a Habilitation Technician to provide 1:1 support in the home and community. Our caregivers embody empathy and respect, striving to uplift and empower those they support. No experience is required as we offer a paid apprentice program to nurture your professional growth and commitment to making a difference in the community.

Requirements

• One year experience working with clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred but not required (paid training provided).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities.
• Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation.
• Participate in community integration activities, errands, and appointments.
• Patiently teach, encourage, and celebrate small achievements, giving people the space to grow.
• Provide personal care assistance as needed.
